CSA Program
"An invitation to receive straight from the fields, the freshest produce,
vegetables, berries, and fruit, picked at their prime, just for you".
Summer 2008 CSA Box
A Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program is a group of like minded folks that believe in, and support small family farms. In return, the small family farms grow fresh vegetables, produce, melons, and berries for these supporters.
By joining a CSA you share in the rewards (a fruitful harvest), and the risks as well ( crop failures, droughts, hailstorms, etc.). The CSA community and the farmer (s) are partners in the growing season. By structuring the "Farm to Table CSA" as we have, we feel that there will be a very favorable outcome for all.
We invite you to enjoy the adventure of eating seasonally in the midst of winter! You will enjoy our selection of fresh, crisp salad greens, flavorful spinach, arugula, kale, colorful carrots, onions, beets, and Asian greens for stir fry. Plus, there will be salad turnips, an assortment of colorful winter squash, a hearty winter favorite, sweet potatoes, and much more. An added bonus is that everything is at its most nutritious because it is picked and delivered to you within hours, not days or weeks. With the exception of a few of the winter squash and sweet potatoes, everything in your share box is Certified Organic.
Our goal is to have you join us, and we want to make it easy for
you to belong to our CSA. We do this in three ways. (1) Offering a monthly payment option
with no "up front" membership fee, (2) Convenient pick up sites, and
(3) Late afternoon pick up for the
convenience of working folks.
We encourage you to join us as a shareholder if you:
